The RMVCA selection committee wrapped up the selection process for the presenting companies to VCIR Fall 2010 last week. We had about 70 applicants with a great diversity. We only had 12 slots available, so it was quite a challenge narrowing the field.
The committee worked through a diligent process, assessing each applicant independently and rolling up the results. The selection was based on their composite scores, as well as the desire to reflect the region’s greatest opportunities by stage, sector and geography. Not an easy task.
However, I am here to say that I applaud the results. I think they reflect the region well and I’m looking forward to spreading the word about the great investment opportunities that exist in the Rocky Mountain region. At the end of the day, the RMVCA is about serving the entrepreneurs and the VCIR conferences highlight some of the best entrepreneurs and their companies.
